Mrs. Sona Pradhan
Founder & Managing Director
Mrs. Sona Pradhan is the Founder and Managing Director of Matrika Eye Center, Kathmandu and the Founder and Board Member of Matrika Eye Foundation.
Mrs. Pradhan did her schooling from Tashi Namgyal Academy, Sikkim in India. She pursued her Bachelor’s in English Literature from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune University, India. She further pursued her Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Mumbai, India.
She was involved with NGOs and Civil Society Groups for enforcement and enactment of anti-domestic violence law in Nepal. She got selected and represented Nepal in the World Science Conference held at Richmond, Virginia, U.S.A in the year 2005.
She has maintained strong relations with eminent international organizations, the local government bodies, women’s organizations, institutions/clubs including youth clubs, etc. to perform free camps for the needy people who require surgeries for cataracts and has been instrumental in providing more than 20000 free cataracts surgeries and free medicines, since Matrika Eye Foundation and Matrika Eye Center’s inception.
